In 1992, W.K. Chan, the founder of Asian Food Center, Inc. and Asian Food Markets, opened a 10,000 square feet Asian supermarket in the heart of Central New Jersey. Within five years the store expanded to 25,000 square feet. Due to the increase in demand from its clients, Mr. Chan opened three more locations in New Jersey located in Middletown, North Plainfield and Princeton.
